Doctora Babena

Babena came in because she was having diarrhea, but got more than expected. Here she is listening to her grandson's heart. The Waorani, while considered a violent indigenous group, are now most often incited to retaliate - such was the case with the recent spearing of a trespassing lumberman.

Hola Priscila! Tanto tiempo! De vez en cuando visito tu "blog" y siento verguenza por no escribirte mas a menudo. Tambien siento un deseo fuerte de volver a America Latina. Parece que tu trabajo va bien y que estas aprendiendo nuevas cosas--y viviendo experiences ricas.

Char told us the movie "The End of the Spear" is opening in Ann Arbor in a couple weeks. It is about the very tribe you are meeting now. You probably know you are experiencing some of the fruits of the labor and sacrifice offered 50 years ago.
